It takes a village

Heart of Phoenix Horse Rescue (HOP) has gone above and beyond for Jaina!

  • HOP went to Texas to respond to a group’s need for help with a large group of feral horses;

  • HOP has committed to finding a path forward for Jaina;

  • HOP has used its large nationwide-network to partner her with the right trainers to give her every chance possible to succeed.

Thank you to all the professional trainers who have stepped up for this girl!

  • Rockin’ H Farms (Colby O’Connor) of Kentucky started working with Jaina in November 2021;

  • Gamilah Unbridled (Patrick Sullivan and Avery Allubaugh) of Texas—August 2022-October 2023; and

  • Gary Yeager of Florida—October 2023-December 2023.

Together they have made a difference. There is hope!

In the end, it is everyone’s professional opinion that after 2+ years of professional training that Jaina will not be safe to adopt-out as a riding or driving horse.

LTC has stepped in as a gateway before sending Jaina back to HOP to see if she can become an adoptable companion horse in 2024. After 2 months, LTC has hope! Jaina is a beautiful and kind soul—she is trying and making progress every day!

Our goal for Project Jaina

To raise $5,000 as soon as possible so we can bring in three specialized trainers for Jaina to help with her progression in order to assess if she can become an adoptable companion horse in 2024. Help us reach our goal!
